World Cup Photos from Master Photographer Greg Mionske! UPDATE – Link fixed

October 10, 2011 3 comments

Our buddy Greg Mionske (click to check out his sweet site!) has been working his way up the ranks of outdoor photographers and his work is certainly impressive. There were tons of photographers at the World Cup and these are some of the only photos I’ve seen so far, but Mionske’s ability to capture such dynamic moments as perfect still clips combined with his eye for the dramatic has resulted here in some fantastic images that bring action and emotion together and really give you a feeling for what it was like to be at this event.

Maja Vidmar's foot slipped and sent her flying unexpectedly. | Greg Mionske

Akiyo Noguchi rallying the crowd mid-final. Loud cheering continued for the rest of her climb and it seemed to give her energy to continue. | Greg Mionske

You can see more pictures from Greg on his facebook album, and don’t forget to click his name at the top to check out his website!  UPDATE – apparently the facebook link is broken. Try THIS ONE.
