Looks great except for NO Video Feed. Need to keep the waiting public informed
if the “Live Feed” will not, be include, everyone appears to be a Pro, except the
    IT “Live TV” bunch.

I’m not sure what you mean, were you unable to get the feed to work? I notice you posted at 7:25, we started a little late, perhaps it just wasn’t up yet? Please let us know, we need to know so if there are problems we can make sure to fix them in the future.

That was great, Jackie and team! We got to the Res around 6pm and the crowd seemed adequate with weather clearing. By the time the comp started around 7:15 the crowd had increased dramatically. We watched problem 1 which was a bit confusing as to who would progress. After that we got weak due to the cold and fatigue and hurried home to watch online. The rest of the comp proceeded smoothly with each problem cleanly and successively narrowing down the field. I was disappointed to see Carlos eliminated for the final. For the woman’s final I was routing for Alex and Jana was routing for Angie. Angie was super solid on her first and second try, but couldn’t get the last move. Alex had a weak first try and slipped off on the first or second move on her second try (apparently blaming her shoes which maybe is not a good idea being sponsored by 5.10). Then Alex came back and sent it very solidly. Angie with lots of pressure did well on her last try but not well enough. In the men’s final Daniel Woods got to the last move a couple of times but couldn’t make the final dyno. Justin was strong but wasn’t getting the second to last move. So, after several back and forths, Daniel was declared the winner. But he chose optionally to make one final try at the send. I was worried he might come off down low for a disappointing anticlimax, but he sent it for a great finish to the evening. Congratulations to all involved. Ivan

Thanks Ivan! I don’t think Alex was blaming the quality of her shoes–the back of the pads had condensation on them so her shoes had gotten wet and that was causing her problems. I don’t know if you noticed the competitors beginning to wipe their shoes off before each try, but that’s why. Night + lake = humidity. Same reason Angie slipped off those last holds–she wet-fired. Nevertheless, I think the comp went super well. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself, and thanks for the comments!

^ Hey Ivan (from the comment above), lots of people read this blog, so please get your facts straight before you try to be the first one to report on an event this big.

    – There wasn’t a single competitor named Justin. You are referring to Julian.

    – Alex never blamed her shoes. She blamed a foot slip. Those are two different things.

    – Daniel sent the last problem in his last attempt DURING competition.

I had no affiliation with the event but had to post because that report is misleading.

      Hey “Poser” ?

How about can the negativity. Ivan is a great guy, and I’m sure he was just trying to get the word out for those that didn’t see it. In the future, a simple “here’s what you were mistaken about” would suffice. Also, you are correct that Daniel sent on his last attempt during the competition, but he had already won and the announcer had announced it so it was an “optional” encore performance, as Ivan said. I appreciate you trying to clear things up and keep the facts straight, but please do so in the most positive manner possible. Thanks.

Take it easy! Yes I meant Julian. Sorry. I don’t know all these guys. Alex grabbed her shoe and looked pretty upset. That’s how it appeared to me in the audience. According to the announcer, Daniel has already won when he made his final attempt. His final attempt was optional.

Ivan, you are correct on this. Thanks again for keeping tabs and trying to keep everyone updated.
