Psicocomp Results!

Our very own Ian Dory nearing the top of his route. If he’d stuck the top he’d have gone on to the next round, as it was he fell moving to the top and, as Jon Cardwell fell there as well but got there first, Jon progressed. The hold they did the big move to the top off of, which is the left hand just visible above his hands in the picture, was a mono. Jon jumped, Ian tried to lock off, neither stuck it. Both took the 50′ fall to the pool.

Results!

1. Jimmy Webb              1. Sasha DiGiulian

2. Daniel Woods              2. Delaney Miller

3. Matty Hong                3. Meagan Martin

Delaney Miller also won the “a muerte award” aka another $2k for doing her best not to fall off the route, even when the person she was climbing against had fallen already. Chris Sharma won it for the men as he was the only man to top the men’s route, which he did his first go. Later he fell unexpectedly on the mid-route dyno and his competition, Matty Hong, made it to the last move and progressed.

Chris Sharma fell below here but Matty kept going and nearly sent the route.

All in all it was an exciting event.

I may post some more screen shots and an explanation tomorrow but they feed quality wasn’t great so they didn’t turn out very well. Hopefully you just watched the live feed or will watch the replay.
